Barah goes to the same school as my son, so it was a pleasure to photograph her Bat Mitzvah at the Temple Akiba in Culver City. I know the family, so was thrilled when they requested my photography and videography services for Barah’s Bat Mitzvah. The Temple Akiba is one of my favorite locations for shooting Bat Mitzvahs because it has lots of natural light, which makes for great shots.
As well as my son attending the same school, I’m also the school portrait photographer there, so I knew many of the guests and it felt very much like a school social event.
Afterwards, Barah’s parents threw a party at their home in the Westchester area of West Los Angeles. It was a beautiful setting for a family celebration, with the backyard set up with a white tent, chandelier, DJ and healthy, homemade food from Scratch Catering.
One of the most fun parts about being a videographer at a Bat Mitzvah party is doing brief interviews with family and friends, which I edit and include in the final video. Barah’s friends sure love being in front of the camera!
Feel free to get in touch if you’re in need of a Bar/Bat Mitzvah photographer and videographer.
