As the fall season approaches, I’m gearing up as a holiday family photographer. Holiday photo shoots are a great way to share seasonal cheer with your loved ones. For some inspiration, we’re looking back on one of last year’s outdoor family portrait sessions.
I’ve been photographing the Brownlow family for their annual holiday card for the past five years. For their latest family photo session, we met at the Temescal Gateway Park in Pacific Palisades, one of the best outdoor locations for family portraits in Los Angeles. The Brownlows, like me, are experts at family photo shoots, so they came prepared in color-coordinated outfits. Mom and daughter wore purple tops and jeans, the son wore navy and dad wore the perfect purple-and-navy plaid shirt to match.
It was a beautiful day, so we were able to take the portraits against the lush background of greenery and fall foliage, and we had so much fun doing set-ups against trees and getting the kids to throw the fall leaves into the air. We captured a wide range of poses and backgrounds, so that the family would have plenty of beautiful options for their Christmas card layout. We also made the most of having the four of them together for a family photography session by taking a variety of couple and sibling portraits.
I’m excited to continue working with families for these sessions, and would love to photograph you and your family for the holiday season. You, too, can have your dream Christmas card to send out to extended family and friends, letting them know that you’re thinking about them during this wonderful season. More importantly, though, you’ll cherish these photographs for years to come. Feel free to get in touch if you’re looking for a holiday family photographer in the Los Angeles area. These slots will fill up quickly, so don’t hesitate—book your appointment today!
